Director, Grand Meadow Public Library

Grand Meadow Public Library seeks qualified, friendly Library Director to serve the city of Grand Meadow and surrounding rural community. The Library Director reports to and works closely with the GM Library Board of Trustees to provide high quality library services, manage staff, direct library programming and foster community goodwill in the progressive, active hometown of 1,100. The candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, relate well to the public and library staff, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and use creativity to design library programs. The director will be required to promote community engagement, encourage staff development and team building and oversee facility operations. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years library experience with at least 1 year of supervisor/management experience. Appropriate undergraduate degree preferred, but not required. Hourly wage: $20-22, depending on qualifications. Send resume and letter of interest by March 31 to

Holiday Hours/Closures and Early Closings

The  Grand Meadow Public Library Staff and Board of Trustees would like to wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

Remember to stop by and stock up on your favorite format of books and movies and sign up for the Hot Reads for Cold Nights Adult Reading Program!  We have three more months to go, so three more winners to give prizes to!!!!

Please Note Our Holiday Early Closing/Closing Schedule:

Closing Early Dec. 24 and December 31st.  Our hours will be 9am – 1pm both days.   We Will Be Closed Dec. 25th and January 1st.


Don’t Miss Out on Our Wonderfully Easy Adult Reading Program!

HOT READS FOR COLD NIGHTS!  A fun adult reading program that starts in October 2019 and runs through the end of January 2020. 

What do I have to do to participate?   Well, The Hard Part is… WAIT!  There is NO Hard Part! Sign up at the library ONE TIME for the whole length of the program and do what you are already doing:  READ! 

Oh my gosh, no way, it can’t be that easy, right?  But it is.  Each book you check out at the library is entered into a drawing for a free prize.  So say you check out 3 books, you get three entrees into the drawing that equals = three chances to win. 

When do we draw our winners?  We draw a winner on the last day of each month, and call our winner and tell them to come on down to the library and pick up their awesome prizes!

What are your awesome prizes?  Our winner receives a Hot Reads for Cold Nights Bag filled with the following:  A Coffee mug/cup/travel mug, a vehicle windshield ice scraper, a shirt/sweatshirt, a throw blanket, a coaster and more!

Meadowfest 2019 FREE Library Events




  • 6/26 (Wednesday) 10am.           Fairy Dwelling Workshop:           Free!  Create a petite little dwelling where fairies will want to be!  Using garden objects, construct a home and furniture of miniature scale for your garden, or just in your home, in this two hour workshop.  All ages welcome. Children under twelve need to register and create with an adult. Parent/child, grandparent grandchild teams, etc. encouraged.  Register per fairy dwelling. All Supplies included. Class is limited to 25 persons/teams.

  • 6/26 (Wednesday) 1pm.             Kid’s Sculpture Workshop.         Free!  Learn the elements of design when creating sculpture and create a sculpture of your own using a variety of materials.  A one-hour class for 20 kids, ages 8 and up.

  • 6/27 (Thursday) 10am – 5pm.    Treasure Hunt:                                ALL AGES WELCOME!  FREE!        Join us for our 8th Annual Treasure Hunt that starts and ends at the library.

Three maps of varying difficulty/length of Hunt are found at the library.

This can be done individually or in groups, however you want….Have Fun With It!

Along the route, there is a sidewalk coloring contest, lemonade, and stories on the half hour every hour @ the Meadows Health Care Center @ 210 Grand Ave E, Grand Meadow, MN 55936     Bring your completed map back to the library to claim your free book, sign up for the prize giveaway and grab some booty to snack on!


  • 6/27 (Thursday) 6pm @ GM School Dome Gym.                                    FREE EVENT! Bring a cardboard box and make a car for our Family Fun Night Drive Inn Movie Theater Event. All Supplies to add to your box to transform it into a car will be provided along with popcorn and a drink. We will be showing Ralph Breaks the Internet. All Ages Welcome! Brought to you by The Grand Meadow Public Library and Grand Meadow Community Education.
